SWF files not appearing in frame

I am trying to make it so that a SWF file appears in a FancyBox frame. The SWF box is checked under Settings –> Media –> FancyBox –> SWF. I have tried both uploading the file straight into the media gallery and linking to it via URL. I have tried linking to it using basic
<a>tags, with no luck.
