switch between UI and theme-options

    I made a lot of options in the UI. Now I would like to continue with an exported theme-options.php to do some quick copy-paste for another section.
    Is it possible to go back to using the UI after this? Will the new options be imported and merged with the existing ones?
    It is important to know, that there are already values in the database for the options build with the UI.

    There are certain limitations in the UI builder. Switching back and forth works but not if you are setting arrays in the standard values as the UI builder can’t handle them. You will not loose your saved data unless you export the file delete the contents and write over the UI builder.

    This I don’t quite understand: “arrays in the standard values”.
    I dared to do the trick and it works:
    – export settings file to theme-options.php
    – modify theme-options.php (mostly copy-paste from one section to another – no modifications to existing options)
    – uncomment the call to include “option-tree/ot-custom-options.php”
    – open UI settings, the new options are visable
    – comment the call to include “option-tree/ot-custom-options.php”
    – save the settings in the UI
