• We installed a WP database on an existing site with Windows IIS hosting. For the most part everything has run well except for:
    1. web.config files have appeared randomly, cutting off access to the database. Once the web.config file is deleted the site reappears immediately.
    2. the Live Search doesn’t work anymore, even though it did before the upgrade to 2.9.2
It’s a very busy site, so we didn’t want to chance any downtime that may have occurred with a switch over to Linux but if that will permanently resolve some issues I would consider the switch.
Should this site be switched over to Linux?
How much will switching from IIS to Linux mess up the site?
Will that make the Live Search work and stop the web.config files from appearing?
