Switch to show slideshow from show thumbnails not working

  • This problem has suddenly occurred. Was working fine before. What happens is that the thumbnails and click on thumbnail to enlarge facility is fine, until you click on Show Slideshow. When you do that nothing happens but you see Show thumbnails. When you go back to thumbnails and try to navigate to another page of images, you get the following for every page in the thumbnail view: “This is the default gallery type template, located in:
    /home/www/valentinepress.com.au/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_gallery_display/templates/index.php.
    If you’re seeing this, it’s because the gallery type you selected has not provided a template of it’s own.”
    I have temporarily sidestepped the problem by unchecking Show Slideshow Link in Gallery Settings. However, it did work before, and I want to know how to be able to switch between Slideshow and Thumbnail views again.
    There are thousands of threads/comments on the issue of getting the above message.
    My site is valentinepress.com.au but you can’t see the problem now because, as I said, I have turned off the Show Slideshow Link.
