    Hi there!

I’ve been considering switching to TranslatePress after 3 years of using a different localization plugin (Globus), due to performance issues and for a more competitive pricing on your plugin.

Problem is, after 3 years of translating under a different plugin, I’m concerned about how I could take all old translations with me to import into TranslatePress. Is such a thing doable at all?

Doing so manually is sadly out of the picture, with the blog hosting a hundreds of articles translated in 10+ languages.

Thank you in advance for all the help you can provide!

  • Hello,

Thank you for your interest in TranslatePress.

I understand your concerns regarding the migration of old translations.
?However, due to the specific way TranslatePress was built, it is currently not possible to automatically import the old translations from a previous plugin into TranslatePress.

That being said, TranslatePress supports the Google Translation API, which can assist in auto-translating your content and easing the transition. Please be aware that while the Google Translation API can be highly efficient, you might still need to review and manually correct some translations to ensure the highest possible accuracy.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to ask.

    Kind regards,
