• I called HG but they don’t see any errors in their logs.

    Here’s what’s going wrong:
I go to the Library to add a new image, select it, looks like it’s going fine, then it’s Crunching, then everything in the image box goes white instead of showing me the thumbnail and image info. The image is never uploaded to the Uploads folder.

Permissions are set at 755 for the wp-content/uploads folder.

I have tried specifying that folder in the Miscellaneous settings, as well as leaving it blank. I’m not really sure what else to check. There’s nothing strange in the htaccess file.

Any thoughts on where I need to look next?

If it helps, my HG account is a reseller account. I could live with this problem if I didn’t think it would affect future clients. Thanks.

  • try chmod 777 on these
    wp-content/uploads
do an upload then chmod back to 755
    should work now

I tried that earlier with no luck. I should also mention that I already have images in the Uploads folder from before the transfer and they are not showing in my Library.

Still no luck, but I tried something that has taken me 1 step closer, I think.

I’m using cPanel, so my path is technically domain/pubic_html/wp-content/uploads

I thought if I set that as the path in the Miscellaneous settings (even though I don’t need to set the /public_html/ for anything else) that the images would load. Well, it sort of worked.

The images appear to load, but the thumbnail is missing and the file URL is wrong. The image wasn’t loaded into the uploads folder and it’s nowhere to be found.

I know this has to be something simple, I just don’t know what. I could really use some thoughts. Thanks so much ??
