    Hi,

When I login as a network admin and select another user to switch to (normally an admin) the initial switch works fine but it won’t allow me to switch back.

The only was I can get back to the Super Admin account is to logout and then log back in with the Super Admin account details.

I’m using domain mapping but I’m not sure this is whats causing the problem as my initial Switch To login works fine, its only the return that doesn’t bring me back to my account

    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks

It could be related to domain mapping, although I’ve not seen this problem myself on domain mapped sites.

When you say “it won’t allow me to switch back”, what exactly is the problem?
Does the switch back link not show up? Or does it show up but give you an error when you click it?
Do you see a switch back link when you visit wp-login.php?

    Hi John,

    Thanks for the reply.

OK, so I’m in the network dashboard, I go to the user list and choose my user to switch to, I select the “Switch to” for that use and it switches me to their account with their permissions, everything works OK.

I now have an alert bar with my username and a link to “Switch Back” at the top of the page. If I click this it reloads the page and in the alert bar I now have

“Switched to username (client_username). Switch back to Network Admin (network_admin_username).”

But I was already switched to client_username and I clicked the link to switch back to network_admin but it looks like its just a loop.

So I logout, and on the login page where it states you are now logged out I also have the option still to “switch back to network_admin_username”.

I’m wondering is it a nonce problem or a domain mapping problem (or maybe both)

I’m having this same problem but, I don’t get the switch back link.

I have to log out and then log back in, there is nowhere that says switch back, when I click switch off, it says I can’t switch off.

    Thanks for the info.

Are you both able to deactivate your other plugins one by one to see if the error goes away?
Also, please try clearing all your cookies for the domain in question in case there’s a strangely corrupted version of the User Switching cookie in your browser.

@rhondasellers: This sounds like a different issue. Please try the above and let me know what happens.

John, I think we got it worked out. Thank you so much!

@rhondasellers: Not gonna tell me what the issue was?
