    Dear Tyler,

First of all, thank you. Your videos taught me everything I know about creating websites, they are an amazing resource and I share them with anyone who is even remotely interested in creating their own website.

Thus far I have been working with Astra and Elementor, this new website is the first one I am creating with the block editor and the Variations theme.

The English version of the website is completed and it turned out great, however, I am having trouble with making the site switch to the second language menu when I go to one of the second language pages.

I’m using “Polylang” as I always have, and was able to add the language switcher to the menu using “Site Editor Classic Features” plugin that allows me to access the “Menus” tab under appearance, however under “Menu Settings” there are no “Display locations” listed. Therefore I am unable to link a menu to a language version of the site.

Is there a way to add these locations or am I barking up the completely wrong tree? Any solution would be a lifesaver.

Sorry to bother you with this, in the past I have always found a way to resolve any problem but I have been trying to figure this out for days and am no closer to a solution.

    Thank you for the help.

    Hello,
Thanks for your kind words about the tutorials!

Since you’re using a block theme (Variations), try creating your menus using the Navigation block in Site Editor rather than classic menus. You can create separate navigation blocks for each language and use Polylang’s language display settings to show/hide them based on the current language.

However, for specific instructions on setting up language-specific navigation blocks with Polylang, I’d recommend checking their support documentation or reaching out to their team directly – they’ll have the most up-to-date guidance for block themes.
