Switching between themes

  • I have an issue that it was suggested to switch to the default theme, and then back to the current theme I am using… I/and others have made a lot of edits to the theme files and css already.

    Will switching to the default theme and then back to my current VERY customized theme cause any problems with how the site pages look in the current/customize theme after I switch to and from?

  • This shouldn’t normally happen, almost every setting is written in the database so the site should look alike. However there is a slight chance for some tiny change missing if the theme is incredibly complex and the default theme overrides something used by your theme (highly unlikely).
