• When editing or creating a post, I often change from visual to text editor. The frustration is that in a long post, when I go from looking at the middle of it in visual, then switch to text, I end up back at the top of the page. I then have to scroll all the way down and search the post for the place I needed to edit.

Does anyone know of a way, a plugin perhaps, to prevent this?

It’s not feasible to reliably pass scroll position from one display to the other. I agree that finding where you want to be when changing modes is quite annoying, but I cannot conceive of a reliable way to automate it. Maybe I’m not creative enough. I usually end up using the browser’s “find” function to re-acquire my place in the document and avoid switching if possible. I generally stay in text mode and use preview to check the layout.

In other words, adapting your workflow is more effective than an automation solution.
