switching custom post types

I’m trying to use this plugin to switch between two custom post types. These CPTs are from the plugin wpgeodirectory.com.

So far nothing is happening. I’m using the post editor, open the post and select the new post type, set OK then Update. There’s then a notice at the top of page that the post type has been updated but nothing has happened — the post is still the original post type.

Ideas?
