I am currently using a different event calendar plug-in (EventCalendar by 10Web) but would like to switch to this plug-in, which looks better supported. My question is: will my previous events still show up? Another way of asking this: are events independent in WordPress of the calendar plug-in?

    Hi there,

The Events Calendar creates its own post types and has its own data structure with your WordPress database, so you will probably need to import your events from the 10Web plugin. If you can export a csv file of your events that are in the 10Web plugin, you may be able to run a CSV import through our calendar.

For this process, it’s helpful to copy your site to a?staging or dev platform?so that you can test thoroughly and see if the import works. Once you have installed The Events Calendar and have a csv file from the old events plugin, you can go to Events > Import to start the import process.

We also have a guide here that can help you out with testing the csv import:

Let me know if this helps,
