• Hi there, i am looking at potentially switching from the facebook for woocommerce pixel to Pixel caffeine and wanted to ask if there is any advice you can give on doing so.

Especially round deconnecting from the original plugin to the new and anything i need to look out for. the current plugin is forever having issues with the product catalogue but otherwise seems to work fine but there seems to be much more flexibility on the audience identifying and selection through caffeine.

    thank you in advance.

    Steve

  • I am also very interested in this same exact inquiry. The FaceBook for WooCommerce plugin is an abomination and am highly interested in switching.

    Hi all,

sorry for missing this topic! It’s not very clear to me what you want to achieve, could you please explain more specifically? Generally, there isn’t any connection from Pixel Caffeine and Facebook for WooCommerce plugin, neither any tool to export/import settings or whatever.

Hi Antonino, yes i get there is no import or export it was more aboout the practical effect. e.g. if i turn off the current FB plugin and switch to yours. will it reset everything on FB that the previous plugin handled and manage or stay as it was and then get “taken over” or would is need doing all over from scratch? my main issue was around the catalogue aspect. although the retargeting aspect of the pixel seems to do well.

    thanks

    Hi,

most probably the catalog may be affected about the switch because F4W (Facebook for WooCommerce) manages the catalog directly inside the shop section of your Facebook page, Pixel Caffeine instead will create/manage the catalog in your business manager account. Also here, there aren’t any automatic tools for switching, but you need to check it manually.

Anyway, it doesn’t destroy anything. You may switch the plugin and everything should continue to be working as always in your Facebook account, but not editable from the plugin.
