Switching from Movable Type to WordPress

First off, my apologies for posting a topic that seems to have been done many times before. In my searches, I have found topics that deal with specific issues in switching from one to the other, I haven’t found one that addresses the issue as a whole, nor a link to the MT related instructions (though I see they are mentioned).

While I have installed MT on my server and have it running on sample pages, I have not actually began using it on my live site as of yet. Therefore, I do not really need to switch over any of my blogs from MT to WP (as they don’t exist). What I would like to do is completely remove MT, then install WP from scratch. Obviously, WP installation instructions are provided, but are instructions for MT removal available?
