    Hi there

We are having a problem with 403 pages on our site and our host has pinpointed it the TranslatePress plugin.

When we switch to the none default language and then access translated posts we sometimes get a 403 page. Looking at the logs our host tells us the plugin is triggering a mod security rule and then it’s hitting resource limits becasue it thinks the site is being attacked.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Hi,

This error is probably generated by a security plugin that you’re using right now.
Try to disable it and see if the issue persists.

Also, clear any caching you might have enabled or disabled it temporarily.

    Hi

Our host has confirmed that it’s the TranslatePress plugin triggering the error with their server configuration. We do run Wordfence, but we still get the issue with WF disabled, we don’t run any caching plugins.

I have sent errors logs to you guys so hopefully you’ll be able to pinpoint exactly what part of your plugin is triggering the mod security rule and making our server see it as an attack.

    Hi Alex

Thanks, this was resolved a few weeks ago with support. Our host server configuration didn’t allow TranslatePress to perform a direct database connection. Problem now solved.

    Thanks again.
