    Normally LinkedIn should be working straight from the start, only for Facebook you need to manually include your App ID in your theme. Is LinkedIn not showing for you? Could you give me some more details?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for getting back to me! LinkedIn is showing. I want to replace it with Facebook. How do I do that?

    Hey replacing is not really possible at the moment, because of no configuration in the backend. However, if no Facebook is not showing up you need to create an app on Facebook (https://developers.facebook.com/) and include the following line in between your <head> and </head> tag in your header.php of your theme:

    <meta property=”fb:app_id” content=”XXXX”/>

    Where XXXX is the app id you can see after creating the application on Facebook. This id is needed, because it makes use of certain behaviour to include the snippet of text selected when sharing.

    Hopes this helps!

    I’m a little confused. If you look on this page where our conversation is being held to the right where it says “about this plugin,” it shows a picture of the same counter we’re discussing popping up after a highlight with a twitter, Facebook, and email symbol. So you’re saying the photo is incorrect and getting the plugin to function in that way is not possible?

    As far as these fixes are you talking about doing them in Facebook or WordPress?

    Ah good point, I might need to update those screenshots as well ??

    At the moment, Twitter / Facebook / LinkedIn / Email are all in the plugin. However for the Facebook one to work you need to create an app at Facebook and put that one sentence in the header.php of your plugin.

    Does this make it more clear?

    Hi! I have this same concern.

    But first let me say, this plugin, at least at first glance, looks positively genius. I’m thrilled that you created it. An unobtrusive way to invite more engagement, make sharing easier, more flexible… more fun!

    I want to exchange the LinkedIn link for a FB one. Can you walk we through how to do that?? Step by step?

    Starting with: How do I create an app at FB? (Also: I do not own a smart phone. I’ll be doing this from my desktop computer. I do have a FB account.)

    (I have a side question: is there a way to make that configuration– Twitter/ Facebook/ Email–automatically show up, when activating the plugin? It’s what the screenshot led me to expect, and I think having it show up automatically–IF that’s possible–would make this a 5-star plugin, no question.)

    Thanks so much! I look forward to learning more.

    And thanks, too, for creating this cool plugin.
