    I am currently in the process of switcher server from GoDaddy to Penguin.Uk
    The WP Import method seems to have worked as I can see the duplicate files on the new server
    Obviously I want to make sure the site is working OK, before switching with the NS
    Penguin have given me instructions too add these two lines to my Host file to check that the web site is working
    91.207.50.100 matthewbealesphotography.com
    91.207.50.100 https://www.matthewbealesphotography.com
    I have done that and it seems to be OK
    Being a sceptic, how can I be 100% that I am not still looking the Godaddy server ?
    Presumably there is a way to check what server I am looking at ?
    Any ideas ?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Just go into both sites and enter a keyword such as “Pen” on a post page at the bottom or something and then enter “GD” on the other site this way you can spot which site is which.

    I tried that;-
    I amended on the GoDaddy site with an icon “Contact” to “Contact Me”
    Using the laptop with the amended Hosts file routes me to GoDaddy
    So Host file is not re-routing

    Host File reads like this
    =========================

    # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
    # 127.0.0.1 localhost
    # ::1 localhost

    91.207.50.100 matthewbealesphotography.com
    91.207.50.100 https://www.matthewbealesphotography.com
    =====================================================
    Penguin told me to put it after the last 127.0.0.1 line
    Does the line text look OK

    I would double-check with your host to make sure the IP they gave you is correct. Also, I don’t think the https:// will work. It seems as though you would only need the first line:

    91.207.50.100 matthewbealesphotography.com
