I was tying to switch themes in the theme editor and somehow, everything went blank. Just a white page. No more blog, no more dashboard, nothing but a blank white screen. I’m sick. If anyone knows how to resurrect my blog…please advise. I will be so grateful!

I can’t even log in…WordPress does not recognize my username or password.
    Please help. Thank you!

you have to delete the offending theme from the backend

use ftp software (fillezilla is free, there are many others) or a file manager if your host offers one. Log onto your server. Navigate to wp-content-> themes and delete the folder of the offending theme

Thank you so much for responding.
I did delete the theme, no luck.
    Any more suggestions?

did you just try to go to your site? Or did you go to the admin area? I believe you have to visit the admin link to finish resetting to default theme…

    yoursite.com/wp-admin

Also, you left the default theme in the themes folder correct?
WP 3.0 default theme is twentyten
    WP 2.9.2 it is default

    Hallelujah! Thank you so much!
I just went in and deleted another theme in my themes folder and lo and behold…my blog is back! I wasn’t sure that deleting the themes was the right thing to do.
I can’t thank you enough for your help!

yup….90% of the time, wordpress problems are related to theme, or plugins
    (or sometimes permalinks)
