Hi Mattias — hope things are going well. After many happy years of using TablePress with our current theme, Evolve+, we are switching to Divi. But I’m struggling with getting the nice layouts that I previously had even though all the table and Plugin Options are the same.

For example, the table on a dev subdomain here https://divi.tvaug.org/presentations/ not only does not fill up the Divi text module it sits in but it also acts weird. If you go to that page, you see it does not fill its module but the weird thing is if you do a refresh, you’ll see it flash to full size then shrink down again. Our production site’s table at https://divi.tvaug.org/presentations/ looks great.

    Any ideas???
As always, thanks for all you do!

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

This is caused by an issue in the “Horizontal Scrollng” feature. For some reason, the JavaScript code is setting a wrong width here. My suggestion therefore is to uncheck “Use DataTables” checkbox on the “Edit” screen of this table, which will turn this off. Then, I recommend to use the scroll mode of the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/ which adds horizontal scrolling again, but in a different technical way that does not have this problem (and loads faster ?? ).

    Regards,
    Tobias
