• Hi there,

After mapping my domain https://gemma-freeman.com to direct to https://gemmafreeman.wordpress.com I’ve decided to go for a .org account for the greater flexibility.

I’ve changed the name servers for the domain to point to my new host and server, and cancelled the domain mapping within the dashboard of https://gemmafreeman.wordpress.com.

Perhaps I have to be patient and wait a few hours, but something is going wrong on the wordpress.com side…

I’ve installed all the files etc to my root folder by FTP, but before I can even check things are ok by heading to https://gemma-freeman.com/wp-admin/install.php, I keep being redirected to a wordpress.com page inviting me to set up a new free blog – even when not signed in – asking if I’d like to visit my old blog:

i.e. “Get your own WordPress.com account in seconds
Fill out this one-step form and you’ll be blogging seconds later!

Did you mean to visit any of these blogs:

    gemmafreeman.wordpress.com — Gemma Freeman”

I can’t figure out what else I need to do and it’s very frustrating…. can anyone help?
