Symbol showing up on PC but not MAC

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

No, I don’t know how it happened. Could it be something with the template? It has always done that I am just now getting around to attempting to fix it.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a PC at the moment, but it looks like you have some mark-up errors in the sidebar – so maybe that’s a clue:

I’m on a PC and I can’t see any ‘L’s in the sidebar using Firefox 23 or IE10.

When I have been on two different PCs, they have shown them at different places next to
Bowen Institute on Political Participation (the L is next to the “on)
Election Administration (the L is before the word Administration)
and Community Conversations (the L is after the word Community)

That pretty much fits with the errors – ” non SGML character number 3″

How do I fix that?

I would suggest that you stop pasting content into your site from elsewhere and re-type what is in there atm.

By re-typing in the content for your sidebar.
