    Hi,

So i sync thousands of images to add them to media.
Some of them are larger than 2560 pixels, so goes through the “new” scaling process…

My problem is that some of the images have now:
    – the original image,
    – the scaled one and
    – the thumbs,
    but some images:
    – the original images disappeared and
    – there is only the scaled version and
    – of course no thumbs.
    – so nothing work

If i reupload the original image with the same name (not scaled) and i sync, nothing.
If i reupload the original image with the same name (scaled) and i sync, nothing.
If i delete the scaled media (it delete the scaled file), then i reupload the original image with the same name (scaled) and i sync, now i have my file (of course as it no goes through the scaling process)

Doesn’t make sense, and kind of problematic.

I’m not sure everything i wrote is clear, but there is a problem somewhere.

Maybe a good idea in this plugin would be that on Sync the scaling process is deactivated, just for the sync, if i import images i want my images as there are.

My experience with scaled images is that if you look at the contents of a folder via FTP or through your site’s file manager, you see the original image is present but not shown in the media library. Media Library Folders attempts to follow the behavior of the media library so you will may have original, scaled and thumbnail images. If want to redo the upload, first delete the prior upload through Media Library Folders.
