    Hi,
The fact that something like this (being able to choose your upload folder) isn’t already in WP is mind-blowing – so thank you.
I have a brand new site (WP 4.0)and am uploading images. The first ones synced instantly and I didn’t have to do anything to see them in the library. All the pics I’ve uploaded thru WP Flash uploader since do not sync for a while and I do not see them in the library – not a problem, I go hit “Sync Media Library”. But every time, duplicates of images previously loaded are added – ie:
original file: blue sky.png – WP makes its’ smaller images
duplicate file: blue sky 150×150 150×150.png
    duplicate file: blue sky 150×150 150×150 150×150.png
And so on. I believe I have 11 original images and there’s something like 26 showing in the media library because of the duplicates.
Am I using the plugin incorrectly? Is there something going on? I’d love to keep using this because I want my files to be organized – and not in date/month folders!

Please check the settings of the plugin.
Wordpress does create thumbnails and the plugin tries to detect this and does not create thumbnails of the thumbnails again.
but this seems to fail in your case.

Why I would have to take a deeper look into.

Hi, sorry for the delay in responding….
I have checked the settings a couple of times just to make sure I’m not missing something – but images keep being “copied”.

It doesn’t look like I can upload an image here, so here’s the text from media library of 4 images. The bottom one is the original and the other 3 are duplicates – they are image size (150×123) or _c.

    2014-11-02_21.32.13-150×150
    2014-11-02_21.32.13-300×123
    2014-11-02_21.32.13

I’d really appreciate your help because I told a friend about the plugin and it’s happening to her too.
    Thank you!

    Just to make sure.
You are not talking about the thumbnails?
Because they are generated by WordPress.

Simply try the normal internal upload. Only if you get more files than that there is a problem. Depending on the size WP creates 5 thumbnails.

    Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean by the thumbnails, but this is what I mean:
I upload picture 123 via the wp flash uploader interface.
I go to sync media library and import files to media library.

Later, I upload picture abc. When I go to sync media library, there are:
    abc
    123_570x172_c
    123_150x150
    etc.

This creates a huge list of useless “duplicates” of the original picture in the media library. And what’s more weird is – it doesn’t always happen. I have uploaded several pictures with these extras never being created.
    Does this help explain it?

I will try the normal upload and report back.
    Thanks!

123_150x150 is not a duplicate. It is a thumbnail of the image and this is created when you sync the files.

Please upload a file with the internal WordPress uploader an compare.

But you are right. If you upload a file this thumbnails are not created right away because I found a bug which causes that the import does not directly happen after the upload.

So in the media library there is only 1 file but in the directory there are up to 6 images depending on the input size.

I can give you my latest version with TFU 3.2 included where I also fixed the bug that the uploaded image is not imported right away.
