    Hi there,
Our WooCommerce store is connected to Mailchimp via this plugin, and some data is not passing. A majority of orders make it through to Mailchimp, but not some.

We have, in every case, double-checked the email address on the order with the email address in the Mailchimp profile, and have verified that mailchimp_woocommerce_is_subscribed is equal to 1 in the WooCommerce order. Our most recent sync was Wednesday, March 1 at about 11am, which is a bit concerning as today is March 3. (I did just run a manual sync to get things up to date….it did update the test case.)

    Our PHP version is: 5.6.30
    Our MySQL version is: 5.6.35
Our host is WP Engine, and we have caching “off” for WooCommerce related areas. But wondering if the object caching is interfering with the syncs and we need to turn off caching for anything else?

I do see an error in our log related to this plugin and wonder if this is affecting the sync:
[Thu Mar 02 18:13:30.107460 2017] [:error] [pid 22649] [client 146.148.97.210:23818] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function set_job() on boolean in /nas/content/live/gfbacademy/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/vendor/queue/classes/worker/wp-worker.php on line 48, referer: https://glutenfreebakingacademy.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=http_worker&nonce=3a3f082118

    — Is this saying there’s a cron issue?

Let me know if any more information is needed.

    Thanks!
    Heather

  • Hey @heatheracton,

Thanks for getting in touch with all of those details. Really helps get us going in the right direction here.

To ensure we’ve got everything replicated on our end of testing will you please confirm a few additional details for us? At your earliest convenience please get back in touch with the following:
    – May I have version of the MailChimp plugin
    – What other plugins are being used on the WordPress install?
    – What theme is being used for the site?
    – If there is a development site available to you with the same host/server settings, will you attempt to disable all other plugins and see if that error is still presented in the log? That would help to see if this conflict exists with your system configuration or with a particular plugin/theme being used.

Looking forward to hearing back and helping out however possible. Hope you’re having a great day.

    Hi Jasper,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

I’m in the process of making a fresh copy to staging so will get back to you on whether or not that error shows up there. The server setup is not the same on WP Engine staging sites…no caching and I’m not sure about wp-cron settings. And, if I had to guess, one of those is the culprit.

I happened to find this thread, where the person has the same error: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/php-fatal-error-call-to-member-function-set_job/ If we’re both on WP Engine…that may be a clue…

    In the meantime:
    – MailChimp for WooCommerce version 1.1.0
    – Other plugins (screenshot): https://www.dropbox.com/s/8rtttz8byncl370/screencapture-glutenfreebakingacademy-wp-admin-plugins-php-1488568283502.png?dl=0
    – Custom theme, based on underscores

If you’d like me to set you up as a user on the staging site just let me know.

We did some auditing and found that 9 people out of 588 didn’t get their purchases transferred (about 1.5% failed). Just a bit more info.

    I hope this helps!
    Heather

    Hi @heatheracton,

Thanks for all of those additional details. I was able to pass those details along to our developers and can state they are currently looking into this issue where a set_job() error is seen in logging even though all server requirements have been satisfied. I don’t have any updates to provide at this time on their progress, but they’re working diligently towards resolving the issue in an update as soon as possible. In the mean time, that manual re-sync option may allow for the missing order information to be passed over.

Please get back in touch if there are any other questions we can help out with.

    Jasper

    Hi @heatheracton,

We hope all is well on your end! I just wanted to reach back out and check in – are you still running into any issues after updating to the latest versions of WooCommerce and MailChimp for WooCommerce? If so, please get back to us with your WooCommerce System Status report, at your convenience, and we’ll be happy to bring this back to the dev table.

    Thank you!

    Pearl
