• I’ve added roles in WP and added them in wp-members so they both show the same roles available. I want to change a users membership level in wp-members and have it change to the same role in the WP users section.
Now when I change it in wp-members it changes to Subscriber in WP and the user can’t see the protected pages. If I then update the role in WP to be the same as wp-members it works.
I don’t want to have to change it in both places.
    Any ideas?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

In terms of assigning roles and memberships, these are independent of each other. So you have to assign a role separate from assigning a membership.

If you set up your membership to require that a user have a specific role, then the user will need both the membership and the role to view content that is restricted to that membership.

Because these are independent, and it is also not necessary for a user to have both a specific role and a membership in order to restrict content (i.e. you can limit content based on membership alone), it is generally recommended that you not require a role for a membership unless you have a specific reason for doing it that way (i.e. that those users in the membership need to have a specific role for integration with some other application that groups by role).
