Sync some but not all content across two websites?

  • Hi,

    Have a need to create a second website that is “synced” to the source website, but has only a subset of the content found on the main website.

    The smaller site would also have some of its own content, so not all pages would be synced (e.g., the homepage would be different).

    Thinking of using Multisite to accomplish this.

    Is this doable? If so, how could this be accomplished?

    By default, multisite sites are separate sites, and their content is siloed. There are some plugins (search “global content”), and you can do some things with code (see REST API). But you cannont “sync” content like I think you are asking.
