Sync, unsync, duplicate

    I have read the documentation about it (Data structure and Option Settings Synchronization. Connect and Duplicate Functionalities) and played with it on demo site but I just can’t wrap my head around it.

    I played with radio inputs only (Imagify functionality (Copy jl) and Foamex Banner (Copy)

    I make a radio inputs option and then there are some scenarios:

    1. If I make a new product and I duplicate that previous product (in Product general Settings)
    All options are synced so if I change something with a “!” it should change on all products, but it’s not working because Options Manager is not yet implemented?

    2. If I make a new product and I duplicate that previous product (in Product general Settings)
    All options are synced so if I change all to Unsync, do I have to also change the Field slugs or is Unsyncing enough?

    3. If I duplicate radio inputs option in the same product
    Do I have to change Field slug? I would say yes because you can’t have 2 options with the same Field slug. If so wouldn’t it be better to not allow to save that duplicated option if you don’t change Field slug?

    4. If I duplicate radio inputs option in a new product
    Do I have to change Field slug? I would say no if you don’t have any options that already use that Field slug.

    5. If I connect radio inputs option then unsync. Is that the same as if I just duplicate?

    6. Will it be ever possible to sync all visual data between synced options so if you have a lot of products that you can change the appearance on all at one and not have to do it one-by-one?

    Hi!

    1) It does work. The only problem – your changes are not seen in other products. Same as in 6. And this is why the plugin needs Options Manager. It will be available in the version 5 though ??

    2) Just after the duplication all the options are synced and work. Any unsynced option does not work as intended. It is just a piece of an html code that does not function properly.

    3) Change the slug and save to DB (it will change its state to ‘synced’), so the option will work as option, actually. Until then its just a dummy option.

    4) No, you do not have to. Just use it if it is synced. Or sync if you plan to use an existing option. Or change slug and save, so you will create a new option in DB.

    5) Yes.
