Syncing & Merging WordPress Roles with UM

    I have UM on my website, i also have Learndash and Woocommerce.
    this means before adding UM to my website i had these existing WordPress roles:

    Subscribers, administrators, shop manager, customer, Moderator, Spectator, Author , Editor, Participants etc.

    Then I installed UM. And ideally I’d like to have 2 user roles “Admin” and “Member”

    Where “Admin” has the full administrative permission, and “Member” has the subscriber+ customer + Participant + other existing role I select. Is it possible to merge existing roles into one role?

    Hi @aochikab

    Unfortunately, this requires customization on your end if you want to merge existing roles. We haven’t done this but I hope someone in the forum has done something similar and shares their solution in the forum.

    cant you just create a totally new user role??

    True, but then now I’ll have one more extra role. If I had 9 before, now I would have 10. When all I wanted was to have just 2 user roles. Simple and organized.
