Syncing meta data from Envira with general media gallery

  • Hello, we just started using this plugin and have added a number of images. Some of the images will be used in multiple galleries.

    I wanted to update the alt and title tags for some images, but it seems like there is no connection between the Envira gallery meta data and the WP media gallery. I came across this post https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/why-does-it-not-pickup-the-alt-tags-from-media-library/ but I couldn’t find this function, is it still missing?

    Especially for images that need updating that are present in multiple galleries, it’s very inconvenient not being able to update the meta data in the WP media gallery, as we would have to update the images in multiple Envira galleries.

    I would appreciate an update about this function, as it would make a great plugin even better.

    Hi @karl19,

    I am sorry to say that currently, we don’t have a sync metadata feature for Envira Gallery and as previously recommended, we can only suggest re-uploading the images.

    I’ve made a note of the feature request, and we’ll keep it on our radar to be reviewed as we plan out our roadmap for the future.
