Same issue, had to disable the plugin to be able to load the site.

Same issue. Trying to revert to 1.5.9 to see if it will fix the issue.

Confirmed. Revert to 1.5.9 and you’ll get your site/events back.

I had the problem too when updating – same version. I actually deleted it and did new installation and it still had the same exact error. So I just did a free hand event page and waiting for a patch to get it going again.

Hi, I have same problem and this plugin is very important on my site. I need it to work NOW!! Can I install earlier version again? Could it help? Where I can find it?

Now I updated to the latest 1.5.11 but same problem is still here? I need help!

    Hi valoni14,

Please remember that the author of this plugin is providing the plugin for free, therefore it is not reasonable to demand this issue be fixed NOW.

You can rollback to an earlier version here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/events-made-easy/developers/

Thanks, I can’t install older versions either, same error message there now.

I installed 1.5.9 and it worked. Later two did not. Hope a fix comes soon.

I’m having the same problem (for 1.5.10 and 1.5.11). I mentioned the issue on the support forum as well so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Ok, nice to see so many people using my plugin ??
The problem is php 5.4 syntax, apparently still many people use php 5.3.
Can you try if this fixes it:

Thank you Franky for your quick reply and the code.

I have been able to reactivate the EME plugin and now it looks like everything works again. The only thing I had to setup again were widget and permalink-settings.

Ok, new version 1.5.12 has been released with this fix.

There is a small mistake in the changelog.
The version number should be 1.5.12 of course; now there’s 2 times 1.5.11 ??
And it looks like the last 4 changelog updates (from 1.5.9 on) are missing the closing = for the version number.

Anyway, thanks again for maintaining/developing this plugin and your quick responses.
