syntax error, unexpected 'new' (T_NEW) with php 7

  • Hello,

    My hosting company is using php 7 and I would like to do the jump.

    But Wassup 1.8.7 gives me this error:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘new’ (T_NEW) in /xxx/wp-content/plugins/wassup/wassup.php on line 3227

    Any hint to reslove this issue?
