• Hi,
I am often using the built-in html editor in wordpress and have already turned the visual editor off because it often ruins the html code.
But what I am missing is syntax highlighting in the HTML Editor.

I have already looked for some plugins but all I could find are plugins to display syntax highlighted code in your posts.

    Any solution?

As no one is answering this I assume that this simple feature is not possible in WP?

Do you even use the build-in html editor or do you use an extern editor like notepad++ and copy paste after editing into the build-in editor?

I’m also interested in this plugin!

I got used to post without highlighting.

I am amazed at the amount of plugins that exist for highlighting code but none of them for the Built-In HTML Editor.

Yes, it will be a wonderful feature if the syntax highlighting was available in the built-in html editor.

there are a bunch of plugins….

    https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/syntaxhighlighter/
is the one I use on voodoopress with excellent results

wait…are you looking for something that shows it on the backend, like while editing posts? That I am unaware of…..
