SyntaxError: Invalid character

I am getting the following error when I scroll to previous page on my Events Page ..
“Something went wrong while fetching events.
The request status is: 200
The error thrown was: SyntaxError: Invalid character”

If I select “Strict compatibility content filtering” then this error disappears but my Home Page which contains Upcoming Events loses its formatting.

In the error log there is ….
“All-in-One Event Calendar: ob_get_clean() [ref.outcontrol]: failed to delete buffer zlib output compression @ /home/gfhsorgu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/lib/global-functions.php:38 #8”

Can you help me correct this please ?
