System error occurs again and again (Woocommerce)

Hello,
I have a system error occurring at my webshop (using WordPress and Woocommerce) for some weeks now. It is not permanent, so after some waiting time the site starts working again – before crashing again a few minutes / hours / whatever later.

This problem first occurred when we were uploading items / pictures for the items (but months after our first upload!) and over time it started happening more often (most of the time when we are working in our backend, often when working on our items – uploading, editing,…). The strange thing is that sometimes it works on my laptop and doesn’t on my collegue’s laptop and sometimes it doesn’t work at all (even though the website https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ says it is only down for us).

I tried different attempts on how to fix this (e.g. deleting the .htaccess file, renaming it,…) but non is working. It is so strange, as the site starts working after a few minutes of waiting again.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? Is the server overstrained? We’d be so happy if anyone could help!
