System generates duplicate invoice numbers

    Hello there,

    I have the following issue: In some cases the system is generating the same invoice number for more than one order. It’s not reproducible for me when it happens. I found this topic, where (nearly 3 years ago!) a similar problem was mentioned: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/what-is-trigger-for-create-invoice-number/

    Actually I try to workaround this problem by updating the invoice numbers directly in the database and setting the next number to the corresponded number. Not cool. And it generates a big chaos in the accounting.

    Does anyone else know this problem and has an idea how to fix it? Christmas is coming and the number of orders is rising.

    Hereinafter you’ll find the system status report. There’s a problem with “table does not exist” messages additionally (the tables do exist of course). If anyone has a clue regarding this message, I would be thankful as well.

    Hi @enricocolladi,

    I apologize for the late response. We were on holidays in last week due to the Diwali festival here in India hence the delay caused in replying to you.

    Thank you for sharing your system status with us. We tried to replicate the issue you mentioned on our staging sites which includes Multisite as well. But we are unable to replicate the same issue. We have placed some test orders and every order generated a unique invoice number.

    Can you please check again and let us know if still, you are able to replicate the same issue? If you are able to replicate it then it would be great if you can provide us with some more information or scenario where you are getting this issue.
