Hi @tjamlee, it’s an error related to your hosting using a version of PHP less than 5.3. I’ve pinpointed the issue and will have a fix released later tonight, v2.2.0.1 ??

    Apologies for any inconvenience caused!

No worries. Thank you for applying the fix. I suppose I could migrate to 5.4 or greater soon as well.

I just pulled a backup and I am using the Older Version and it works fine for now.

Hi @tjamlee, I’ve just pushed the fix. Give the update a try and let me know if it is resolved ??

v2.2 gave error (using PHP Version 5.2.8):

[13-Jan-2015 22:36:08] PHP Parse error: parse error in D:\home\…\WWW\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\easing-slider\easing-slider.php on line 138

After installing 2.2.0.1 the complete site is not working anymore:

[13-Jan-2015 23:25:57] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method Easing_Slider::create() in D:\home\…\WWW\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\easing-slider\includes\class-es-legacy.php on line 384

Hi @evelk, I’d advice you revert back to v2.1.4.3 for now. I’m going to work on fixing this overnight.

Hi Matthew, v2.1.4.3 was placed back and is still working. Good luck with fixing.

Hi @evelk, v2.2.0.4 should resolve all the issues you were having previously ?? Please give it a try and let me know!

Well… the plugin’ has installed and activated fine, but now it will not let me “Edit” or add new slides. It will not update or load the media manager.

    Thanks for your help.

Ok. Does the Easing Slider admin interface look correct? Could you take a screenshot?

If you’re ok with it, I’ll happily take a look for you if you can provide me with admin access. I completely understand if this isn’t possible. If it is, email the details to me via the site support form here ??

Version 2.2.0.4 installed ok and after activating the plugin no errors. The slider which was made with 2.1.4.3 was not working anymore.

There was one slider available (pretty high id number), but the original images where not included/visible.

I had no time to add all the images manually again, so I re-installed 2.1.4.3 again.

Are any extra steps needed to make sure the slider and the images from the old version are visible in 2.2.0.x too?

The images should be transferred over from v2.1.4.3 to v2.2.0.5 automatically.

I’d recommend trying a fresh install. To do this, go to the “Settings” panel of v2.2.0.5, and select the option “Check this box if you would like Easing Slider to completely remove all of its data when the plugin is deleted.”.

Then, uninstall Easing Slider. Afterwards, download and install it again. This will clear all previous (possibly corrupted) data and start afresh. Your old slider should be imported with all of the images intact.
