Tab content not showing in search results

  • Hi,

    I’ve noticed that the content of the tabs is not showing up in search results. I’ve installed the plugin on several of my sites and it’s the same in all cases. I’m running the latest versions of WordPress and the plugin, at the time of writing.

    Great plugin otherwise.

    Hi,

    Tabs are mainly used for displaying secondary content such as product specifications or less important data in general.

    Shortcode rendered content doesn’t appear in search results because your searches look for content in the database and do not render the post like a normal visitor would do when viewing the page.

    It’s the same for any shortcode based content unfortunately. If you are using our tabs as a navigation system you might want to re-think the way your content is organised and create more pages (this is one option of many).

    Also note that tab contents in this case all load at the same time when the page is reached, so having a lot of content in each tabs will make the page slower.
