• I’m trying to figure out how to have a Page Tab on my navigation bar link to a different website instead of to a Page that I have created on my own site. I don’t like how Page-Links-To works. Is there another Plug-In I could use, or is there a way I can manually edit a php file?

  • Customs menus will do it… In your dashboard, look for “Appearance” in the left hand sidebar then, menu…. and build out your custom menus from there….

Hmm.. I guess I should have mentioned that My navigation isn’t in the side bar. It’s actually in the header. Maybe I should look in the header.php file?

    Sorry, I’m a newbie.

ah… no actually if your theme supports custom menus, you can set-up header, navigation, footer, footer navigation, footer or header pages, a plethora of options… did you check what is available in the “Menus” setting for your theme?

    That’s probably why I’m confused.

“The current theme does not natively support menus, but you can use the “Custom Menu” widget to add any menus you create here to the theme’s sidebar.”

when you click on “themes” and navigate to the Themes Managment Page on the Dashboard, next to the active theme at the top so you see this?

    Options:Widgets | Menus | Theme Settings

Which theme are you using? There should be a shortcode to plave the custom menus whereever you would like to in your theme, which in your case would be the header…

For some reason, I’m missing ‘Theme Settings’

    It just has

    OPTIONS: Widgets | Menus

Well if you click on the Menus, it should allow you to create menus… Besides, this is the wordpress forum… don’t they have a buddypress forum?

They aren’t as smart over there ??

In any case, in the header.php file I added a line item to nav and it seems to be working. Probably not the best solution, but it’s a small thing and I’ve been working on it for too long.

    Thanks for the insights!
