Tab key not working for all Mac OS FF, and Monterrey Safari

The plugin has been fantastic, but I am noticing issues on Mac. I’ve tested it on several OS versions and several browsers per version. Generally using the tab key works on Safari, but not when running Monterrey. I did not get the tab key working on any Mac OS I tested with FireFox. The tab key should bring up a skip navigation box (works on PCs). Has anyone experienced similar issues with Mac? Any work-around?
