Tab notifications not working

Hi. The little bubbles that normally popup and display a numbered value over a profile tab such as “Messages” or “Friends” when the user clicks on their profile is not working how it was before the updates 3.9.5 and 3.9.4.

If someone has sent you a message or friend request, the bubble pops up but only after you click on the “Messages” or “Friends” tab. This new behavior (which I’m assuming is a bug) makes no sense. Previously you could see immediately when refreshing the page, bubbles over all the tab areas displaying numbered values regarding new friend requests, new messages, etc. Thanks again for all your hard work!
