TAB widget cuts up words

  • The popular/recent/comments tab widget cuts up words. For example, on your own preview screenshot, it says “The world’s most innovative c ity”

    Is there a way to fix it so it keeps the entire word together?

    Also, the excerpt this theme generated did not maintain any HTML formatting. I downloaded an additional plugin to deal with this, but was wondering if there was a built in feature I missed.
