Tabbed Sidebar Hack Help

I am curious if anyone is using: https://wiki.www.ads-software.com/Tabbed%20Sidebar

It works great but I upon page load it does not show the first tab contents until being pressed. Is there something I am missing. I followed the instructions exactly.
