    Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

That’s very odd, and seems to indicate that the Excel file was instead imported a ZIP file (with e.g. CSV files in it).

First, let’s indeed clean up the falsely imported tables. TablePress is actually not creating another table when you delete one, but it’s simply showing the next one in the list. That list of tables is paginated, meaning that only a limited number of tables (20 by default) are shown on the screen at a time. You can navigate to the next page of tables via the controls right above and right below the table. You can also change the number of tables per page in the “Screen Settings” tab that opens when clicking that link in the upper right corner of the screen.

Then, click the checkbox on the left of each of these false tables and select “Delete” in the “Bulk Actions” dropdown. Please repeat this until all of these false tables are delete.

Then, I would like to investigate what went wrong with the import. Could you therefore please email me the Excel file that you tried to import by email to the address from the bottom of https://tablepress.org/pricing/ ?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks Tobias, sorry that was stupid of me not to notice the paginated list. Those are all deleted now.
I’ve reloaded the xlsx file and it works. The problem was it loaded as a numbers file to start with!

    Thanks for your prompt reply.
    All the best.

    Hi,

Good to hear that this helped! And yes, that would explain it! Indeed, Apple Numbers files are not supported.

I’ll check if I can add extra protection so that a corresponding message is shown instead of importing all internal files of that Numbers file!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
