    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Responsiveness in tables is in general tricky, as there is not clear behavior of what a table should do on a small screen (and actually what a table can do technically in HTML/browsers).
One approach that is common is to flip the table to the side and make it scrollable. This is possible with this TablePress Extension for example: https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi
Thanks for the awesomely fast response. I’ll try this and get back to you on my success.

Is it possible to set a max height for mobile devices only as well?

    Thanks again.

    Hi,

no problem, you are very welcome! ?? Good to hear that this helped!

There is a max-height property in CSS, but I’m not sure how it would be helpful on a mobile device. This would only really make sense if there were no scrolling.

    Regards,
    Tobias

I dont use this responsive plugin for Tablepress. Not easy to see on smartphones you can scroll left-right and easy to miss content.

Small tip, in your responsive CSS target a table (or all tables) and reduce font-size, untill it fills screen. Works for 80% of cases and not so unprofessional.
If you have to many columns then this plugin is only choice.

    Hi,

yes, the Responsive Tables Extension is not the best solution for all tables, unfortunately.
Responsiveness in HTML tables is tricky in general. The idea of reducing the font size is also nice!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
