Table Not Initializing in Editor

  • The table is a sub-field inside of an ACF Group Field, which is all inside of a custom block. When I open the post editor, the table does not show up. It shows up after I click “Update” on the post, or after I add another of the same custom block. It seems like it needs something to trigger the table to initialize the saved data; it’s not displayed on page load.

    I tried deactivating all of the other plugins on the site but that didn’t seem to fix it. Any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?

    Just wondering if there is any anticipated date for an update. We’re trying to launch custom tables ASAP but can’t do so until this glitch is sorted. Let me know if it would be helpful to send a screen recording or any addition info!

    Hi, sorry, I could not replicate the issue.

    I added a ACF fieldgroup for a custom Gutenberg block, added a group field with a table-field as subfield. The Gutenberg editor in WordPress 5.9.1 worked normaly and the table preview appears on loading the editor page and after changing the table.

    Can you please give me more details…
    – Browser and Version
    – WordPress Version
    – A screenshot of the issue in the editor
    – A screenshot of the ACF group settings page
    – Is there any javascript error in the console?

    I just sent an email with all of the info and screen recordings, along with screenshots, to show the table is missing when I open the post for editing, but then shows up when I add another block. Please let me know if there’s anything else you need!
