Well, no, the internal counter doesn’t read the import you made by accident, but it simply does not decrease again when a table is deleted. This is to make sure that no table ID is used twice.

If you really want to reset the counter, please do this:
Go to https://www.example.com/wp-admin/options.php
Scroll down to the entry with the name “tablepress_tables”. In that text field, you should see “last_id” with a number (probably 1260+) behind it. Change that number to 635, and click “Save” at the bottom of the page.

It will work as soon as I am able to use Save. I am guessing the max_inputs_var is not high enough, and this option.php contains a ton of information.

I am currently trying to reach my host to up the value so I can make the change and then revert it.

ah, that can indeed be a problem ?? Sorry about that…

If you can’t change it on options.php, you can change in the wp_options table, directly in the database.
