    Hello all,

    I discovered that a conflict between this plugin ant another one called “Table of Contents Plus”.

    I am sharing my workaround in case others have a similar issue in the future.

    The TOC Plus plugin automatically inserts a table of contents in the blog post.

    My blog post cannot be published as an Apple News article because each table of contents element gets rejected. For instance:

    [body] => {“errors”:[{“code”:”INVALID_DOCUMENT”,”keyPath”:[“components”,2],”value”:”#What_is_Grammarly”,”message”:”Invalid URL: #What_is_Grammarly”},{“code”:”INVALID_DOCUMENT”,”keyPath”:[“components”,2],”value”:”#What_Makes_Grammarly_Different”,”message”:”Invalid URL: #What_Makes_Grammarly_Different”},{“code”:”INVALID_DOCUMENT”,”keyPath”:

    The workaround:

    I inserted the [no_toc] shortcode in the blog post to disable the TOC. I then successfully published the article. I revisited my post and re-enabled the TOC.

    Not elegant, but I found the issue …

    If a plugin produces invalid markup, it will definitely cause an issue with Apple News format. Unfortunately we don’t support compatibility with third party plugins, so this would be something to address with that plugin author.

    Thanks.

    Hi Brian,

    Thanks for your reply. I reported the problem to the plugin author.
