    Hello,

On our site table rates aren’t calculating correctly. They seem offset somehow. For example, in one country shipping should be free over 50, but it only turns to free when well over 50.

I’ve been through the support threads here and tried the most common suggestions, but the problem persists.

So far we’ve taken the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Updated WordPress and all plugins and themes – problem persists
    2. Optimised database – problem persists
    3. Enabled the shipping debug setting on the WooCommerce > System Status > Tools page – problem persists
    4. Disabled our caching plugin – problem persists
    5. Disabled all plugins except Woocommerce and WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping – problem persists
    6. Resaved shipping table rates – problem persists

A screenshot of our table rate settings is here: https://bit.ly/1Bwhkip

We’re keen to solve this and would be very grateful for help.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Dvaer,

    Some things to check:

    1. Ensure your handling fee is 0
    2. Ensure all costs and limits have been entered excluding tax

Thank you for your swift reply John,

    1. Re 1: Yes, that was 0 already
    2. Re 2: Tax status was set to ‘taxable’, but I’ve now changed it to ‘none’ and saved the table rate shipping costs

The problem persists, but I’m not sure I’ve interpreted your second point correctly. I’ve assumed you referred to the tax settings on the actual table rate shipping tab. Or do you mean to make changes to settings on the ‘tax’ tab?

Thank you for your support, I appreciate it a lot.

    Hi again John,

It’s working now. I reread your second point, went through our settings and realised our prices include a 21% tax rate.

So in the table rates I adjusted all limits to exclude taxes, which got the table rate shipping working as expected.

Just to make it clear for anyone else with this issue: instead of setting a limit of for example 50, I made it 41.32 (which is 50/1.21) to compensate for our 21% inclusive tax rate.

This is now resolved, but as a suggestion may I propose that a note is added to the table rates settings page that explains this tax issue? That would have saved a lot of time.

    Thanks again,

    Dave

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the update – I am glad you have it working now.

It is specified that prices should be entered excluding tax in the “?” popups next to column headers. I will look into making this clearer in future releases though.
