    I have inserted a table here [ redundant link removed ] and it is invisible until highlighted with the mouse (so text is white) and background is white. Text is also different to what I see for a similar table on another site I run

    I presume (but am not sure) that this is something to do with the theme I am running.

    For the problematic table that site is running the Kadence theme.

    So is there a way that I can ideally
    1. Get tablepress to inherit the style from the theme. (ie background, text styling etc)
    OR
    2. Style to table manually to match the theme.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    This is indeed caused by the TablePress default CSS, as the “Alternating Row Colors” checkbox is enabled. You could either turn that off on the table’s “Edit” screen, and have table with a solid dark background, or you could change the used background colors, with “Custom CSS” like that from https://tablepress.org/faq/change-color-alternating-rows/
