    Hi Tobias,

I am using tablepress about 2 weeks and I am very satisfied.

I have questions about table title colour and expiry date for table or row.

    1. Is it possible to change colour of table title?

    2. Is it possible to enable expiry date for single table or maybe specific row in table?

Thanks in advance for fast reply and best regards!

    Aleksandar

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

With table title, do you mean the table header row? For CSS code to change that, please see https://tablepress.org/faq/change-background-color-table-head-row/

Setting an expiry date for a table or row is not directly possible, unfortunately. However, there is a TablePress Extension that might be helpful as it kind of adds a feature like that: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/show-only-future-dates/

    Hi Tobias,

Thank you very much for fast reply.

Regarding table title color I made all changes and everyrhing is fine now.

Regarding table expiry date, I think that your solution – extension could not be able to work on my site, because my tables are from – to date. It means that is period from – to and if I set first date as date in past it could be not visible as whole period at all.

These are some examples of tables on my site https://agencijapanorama.rs/slovenija/terme-dolenjske/hotel-kristal/

So, I think that maybe solution is some kind of tablepress extension as post expirator date plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/post-expirator/.

On that way, you could enable expiration date for each table, and after this date table would not be visible on site.

I hope that you understand me, thank you very much in advance for your time all suggestions.

    Best regards,

    Aleksandar

    Hi Aleksandar,

yeah, for date ranges, the Extension is not really helpful.

Now, to hide the full table, you could maybe use another trick: There should be plugins that offer a Shortcode that can be used to let certain pieces of content on the page expire (namely the part of the content between the Shortcodes). I have not looked at specific plugins for this, so this is more an idea that you could look at.

    Hi Tobias,

I found this plugin which could hide content on site on specific date/time https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/shortcodes-to-show-or-hide-content/

Do you have any idea how to implement this plugin and link with specific table in tablepress?

Thanks in advance for your time.

    Hi,

from what I can see, you’ll just have to put the table’s Shortcode inside the content for that new Shortcode that the plugin offers.

    Hi Tobias,

I did as you said and it works!

    I just put following code [time-restrict on=”2017-01-01″ off=”2017-06-01″]
    [table id=13 responsive=flip /]
    [/time-restrict]

and table was not visible on site, but after change date for example, some dates in future, it shows up again.

Thanks once again for great support and great tablepress plugin!

    Best regards,

    Aleksandar
